Jake Kemerer grew up idolizing Cael Sanderson. With a little luck and a lot of paperwork, Kemerer will wrestle for his childhood idol.

Kemerer, ranked the No. 7 wrestling recruit in the country by Intermatwrestle.com, originally committed to Oklahoma but enrolled in classes at Penn State and hopes to join the team this season.

The Greensburg native is hoping Oklahoma grants him a release, or else he will lose a year of eligiblity. Margie Kemerer, Jake’s mother, said the family is disappointed Jake has not been released yet, but they are following through with the appeal process.
