BETHLEHEM, Pa. — First-year Penn State head coach Cael Sanderson said he left his alma mater, Iowa State, to come to University Park to take advantage of the abundance of wrestling talent in Pennsylvania.

In his debut Friday night in front of 5,254 Stabler Arena fans, Lehigh showed Sanderson that he isn’t the only coach in the state who can mine that talent.

The No. 17 Mountain Hawks (2-0) won six of 10 bouts, piling up bonus points in half of them, to beat the No. 15 Nittany Lions (0-1), 23-14.
