Sporting his dark brown singlet, true freshman Ed Ruth knelt on mat No. 8 and calmly awaited his next bout.
Crouching, his elbows extended over his knees, and his hands joined together as he patiently focused in a relaxed manner. His eyes glared ahead but on nothing in particular. Coming off a technical fall and a pin, Ruth awaited his next victim.
His bold eyes met Edinboro’s Chris Honeycutt, who, like Ruth, wrestled unattached. Honeycutt, as a sophomore, had a year experience on Ruth, but to the freshman, it didn’t matter. He would approach the match just like any other.
But Ruth failed to see one thing; Honeycutt would be teaching him a lesson and not the other way around.
