Despite splitting bouts, the No. 14 Penn State wrestling team fell 22-15 to No. 10 Oklahoma in the third-place consolation match of the Virginia Duals tournament.
Oklahoma's Eric Lapotsky, the nation's No. 3 197-pounder, halted the Nittany Lions' (8-3-1) comeback and sealed the win for the Sooners (8-1-1) when he pinned Clay Steadman at the 2:31 mark. The Sooners earned seven bonus points in the meet.
