CDT: Lions earn top 10 ranking

STATE COLLEGE — The Penn State wrestling team has cracked the top 10 for the first time this season as six members continue to hold their rankings in the NWCA/USA Today coaches poll released on Tuesday.

The Nittany Lions (12-5-1) jumped one spot in the poll after a weekend sweep over Northwestern and Michigan, while sophomore Frank Molinaro (25-3) holds at No. 4 at 149 pounds in the rankings. Seniors Cyler Sanderson (24-3) and Dan Vallimont (21-6) are also ranked seventh at 157 and 165, respectively.

SeniorDavid Erwin (24-6) continues his strong run at 184, where he is ranked No. 10. Rounding out the ranked Nittany Lions are sophomore Cameron Wade, 11th at heavyweight; and junior Brad Pataky (22-6), who is ranked No. 13 at 125.
