The day started with two other local wrestlers vying for a slot in the semi-finals, but Methacton’s Brandan Clark (215) dropped a tough 3-0 decision to East Pennsboro’s Zach Nye, while Norristown’s Brandon Parker (145) ran into the buzzsaw that is Andrew Alton of Central Mountain. Alton, a senior Penn State recruit, has not yet spent five minutes on the mat in defense of his state title.
