York Dispatch: Local wrestler celebrates national crown
By NATE WILKINSON For The York Dispatch
He’s not very flashy.
He’s the kind of kid who often answers questions with a “Yes sir” or “No ma’am,” a farm kid who’s not afraid of a good day’s work and results that might not be seen right away.
So when Chance Marsteller wins a wrestling match — and he almost always does — he’s not much for theatrics. It’s a raised arm and a hand shake and a quick walk to the next match, wherever it may be.

How good is he?
Good enough that InterMat Wrestling, a national website, just named him the top incoming freshman wrestler in the United States, regardless of weight class.

CDT: PSU wrestling schedule – Lions staying closer to home
Penn State unveils 2010-11 mat schedule
Guy Cipriano – gciprian@centredaily.com
Penn State doesn’t need to leave Pennsylvania to begin or end its 2010-11 wrestling season. The Nittany Lions aren’t leaving the state for their marquee match, either.
The program’s second schedule under coach Cael Sanderson announced Tuesday is a stark contrast to the one the program constructed in 2009-10.
The Nittany Lions are wrestling 10 times in Pennsylvania. That total includes seven dual meets at Rec Hall. Penn State wrestled just five home matches during Sanderson’s first season.

CDT: Wade, Wright prepped for trials
Guy Cipriano – gciprian@centredaily.com
Penn State wrestlers Cameron Wade and Quentin Wright recently turned 21, making them among the youngest entries in the United States World Team Trials.
Yet neither seems intimidated by the seasoned opponents lurking this weekend in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Wade and Wright spent the spring training with the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club’s stable of accomplished upper weights. Wade, who’s competing at 96 kilograms (211.5 pounds), and Wright, who’s competing at 84 kilograms (185), are among the wrestlers trying to earn a spot in September’s world championships in Moscow
