Nittany Lion wrestlers at Sunkist Kids International
Several wrestlers with Nittany Lion ties competed at the Sunkist Kids Open over the weekend.
Aaron Anspach claimed the crown at 120 kg (264.5 lbs). Anspach was an All-American hwy and national runner-up for Penn State in 2007. He’s now competing with the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club.
Lee Sigman, former four time DII champion at Nebraska-Omaha is also now competing for the NLWC. He placed third a 120 kg.
Former Nit lightweight Mark McKnight took fifth at 55 kg (121 lbs). McKnight now competes for the Wildcat Wrestling Club at Northwestern.
Teyon Ware joins Nittany Lion Wrestling Club
There have been rumors circulating that the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club has been searching for a freestyle coach to add to its staff. In his latest entry on his blog, Cael Sanderson has mentioned that four time All American and two time NCAA champion Teyon Ware of Oklahoma, class of 2006, has joined the NLC. One can only surmise that Ware will be that coach.
